EU Justice Commissioner Viviane Reding to Present New Victims’ Rights Package.

In May 2011 the European Commission is to release its Victims’ Rights Package, making full use of the new possibilities provided by the Lisbon Treaty to improve the position and treatment of crime victims in the EU.
The objective of this conference is to analyse the content of the package in a broad policy debate, bringing together the views of EU decision-makers, victims’ associations, judges, defence lawyers and academic experts.
